I’m a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author five novels, including the forthcoming The Race for Paris, a novel about women journalists during WWII (HarperCollins, August 11). The Wednesday Sisters, my writing group novel, was named one of Entertainment Weekly’s “25 Essential Best Friend Novels” of all time. My first novel, The Language of Light was a finalist for the Bellwether Prize, now the PEN/Bellwether. I’ve also written some fifty or so shorter pieces, for The Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, The San Francisco Chronicle, and others.
I owe a big bucket of thanks to:
• some wonderful bloggers,
• booksellers and librarians around the country (but especially in the San Francisco Bay Area),
• bookclubs and other readers,
• my writing group, other writers, my agent, the amazing publishing teams that have supported me, and
• my incredibly wonderful family and friends.
1st Books is one small attempt to pay it forward. I hope you enjoy it! – Meg
